Project Boost was the second game produced as part of the Complete C# Unity Developer 3D course on Udemy and was actually the first 3D game I’ve ever produced. You can find the fully playable version of the game here. The aim of the game is to fly the rocket from it’s launch pad to the landing pad without hitting any obstacles, it has simple rotate left/right and thrust controls (details on the linked page).
The course introduced me to the Unity Engine and how it works with 3d objects, physics, gravity and lighting amongst other things. It was a very interesting and enjoyable course and once I had completed the basic game I played around with the Asset Store and changed some of the objects it give it a different look and feel.
The game reminds me of Thrust, the 1986 Amstrad CPC game from Firebird, and I think it will be something I return to again, to incorporate some of Thrusts concepts, in future as I learn more of the Unity system.
